At Harvest Bible Chapel Flagstaff, we believe prayer needs to remain the cornerstone of everything we do individually and as a church. We see prayer as the act of communicating with God in order to develop and deepen our relationship with Him. We also believe that God desires to reveal His plans and purposes from Heaven to us (Jer. 29: 11-13). We consider prayer to be a significant part of our journey in learning to recognize and obey His direction. We trust that prayer changes circumstances, but we also believe that it changes us; the ones who are praying.  As we persistently pray, God is preparing us to be able to accept our role in His work. We know that “the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous person [results in] much.” (James 5:16; KJV) We understand that to have a great outpouring of God’s presence in our church, it is imperative for us to be a “house of prayer.” (Matthew 20:13)

The Harvest Flagstaff Prayer Ministry’s role is to facilitate the prayer vision for our church. We assist members in their individual prayer walks and provide opportunities to pray in community. We think that learning to pray is part of becoming a better disciple of Christ.

Prayer takes place in several different types of gatherings within the body of Harvest Bible Chapel. These include individual prayer, small group discipleship prayer , and larger group community prayer.

Everyone is welcome to join us for “the Furnace” on Thursday evenings from 6-7pm at 520 N. Switzer Canyon Dr. Here we come together to worship, pray, read scripture, and share God-stories.

If you have a heart for prayer and would like to find out more about being involved in the prayer ministry, please e-mail office@harvestflagstaff.org and someone from the prayer ministry will be in contact with you.
