WHAT TO EXPECT

Whether you’re new to the Flagstaff area or simply new to us, thanks for giving us the opportunity to share what God is doing through Flagstaff Bible Church.

We can remember and appreciate the process you may be going through trying new churches—hauling kids around, evaluating various aspects of your church experience and listening to discern if God’s Spirit is giving you that nudge—the sense that “this could be home.

So thanks for taking the time to learn a little more about who we are and how you might fit into our FBC family.

Although each person’s process may vary, finding a church home typically starts with some basic questions:

  • What can I expect if I show up?
  • What do I wear?
  • Should I bring anything?
  • Is there something for my kids?
  • What do they teach and believe?
  • What are the next steps?

We hope that the material on our website will begin to answer those questions for you.

And if there is anything else you’d like to talk about, we’d love hear from you. We’d love to get to know you, pray for you, and help you explore what we’re excited about.

Welcome!

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

Please come as you are. We are a diverse group of people so you’ll see everything from shorts and flip-flops to dresses and an occasional tie—and everything in-between. We’re just glad to have you with us—no matter how you’re dressed!

WHAT IS THERE FOR MY KIDS?

Our children’s Ministry, Flag Bible Kids, is for birth—5th grade. If you are dropping your children off before the service, give yourself a few extra minutes to check them in properly using our secure check-in system. We take your kids’ safety very seriously by doing full background checks on every adult serving with Flag Bible Kids. After you check-in your kids at our kiosk, one of our trained volunteers will help you and your kids get to the right room. We’re not paranoid or anything, but we also have a security team trained to keep kids protected and our property secure each Sunday.

DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING?

If you have a Bible, bring it along as we teach from and use the Bible every week. If you don’t have a Bible, please take one that is near your seat. It is yours to keep!

WHAT HAPPENS IN A WORSHIP SERVICE?

Our services last about an hour and 30 minutes and include singing, prayer, occasional sharing times and Biblical teaching. We sing worship songs that are a blend of Gospel theology with singable melodies and a modern sound. We take communion together at least once a month and we celebrate baptisms 3-4 times a year. In summary, our driving passion is help our church family love God and love others well. We’re far from perfect, but learning and growing together in the truth and grace of Jesus.

And…we’d love to have you join us!
